Delta’s New Sky Club: An Upgraded Lounge in Salt Lake City

Share

If you’re flying in or out of the A Gates at Salt Lake City International, it’s worth taking time to cross to the B Concourse to check out Delta’s new Sky Club.

Basic Info on the New SLC Sky Club

  • Opened: October 28, 2025, as part of the major Concourse B expansion at SLC.
  • Location: In the expanded Concourse B, near Gate B26–B31.
  • This is Delta’s second Sky Club at Salt Lake City, joining the original one in Concourse A.
  • It’s the second-largest Delta Sky Club.

Inside Delta’s New Sky Club in Salt Lake

Riding up the escalator into the expansive new Sky Club, you’ll see what a step-up it is compared to the old Sky Club in the A-Gate area (and compared to most Sky Clubs across the country).

SLC’s new club is nearly 34,000 square feet.

There’s seating for 600 people.

Design & Atmosphere in the New Lounge

The new SLC Delta Lounge was designed to reflect Utah’s natural beauty.

The geometric ceiling and terrazzo mosaic flooring are meant to represent the snow.

You’ll find rich wood, copper, and jewel-toned accents, symbolizing Utah’s mountains and lakes.

In the center of the main sitting area, a fireplace creates a focal point.

There are multiple seating areas to choose from, some of which are much quieter and more secluded.

Overall, it’s a much more modern, elevated space. I feel the same way about the newly-renovated Korean Air Prestige Lounge in Seoul.

Even the bathrooms are a big step up!

Food & Beverage Highlights in the Sky Club

The food is standard Delta Lounge options.  It’s served in a large square room, buffet style.

There’s a wrap-around bar for cocktails.

Plus, you’ll find two lengthy beverage stations for coffee, sodas, waters, etc.

Views Outside the Salt Lake City Airport

One whole wall of the lounge is made of large windows, overlooking the airfield and the mountains in the distance.

The new lounge does *not* have an outdoor patio area.  If you’re looking to sit outside, you’ll have to use the old lounge in the A-Gates. I do like the outdoor option Delta provides at the JFK lounge, at LAX, and a few other airports.

Work or Relax in the New Delta Lounge

For people who need their lounge time to get some work done or make calls, the new SLC lounge has nine soundproof booths.

Toward the back, Delta installed its first “digital immersion wall,” displaying sweeping natural scenery.

The area is surrounded by velvet drapes and other textiles to dampen the noise while ambient sounds play on the speakers.  The goal is to create a peaceful space to relax in before your flight.

Restricted Access to Delta Lounges

Access generally requires a Delta Sky Club membership, a premium cabin ticket, or an eligible credit card.

Delta is tightening policies to cut down on the crowds at the lounges. Even Diamond Medallion members are restricted now to 15 visits a year. Delta AmEx holders have to spend $75,000 a year for unlimited lounge access.

Wrap: Delta’s New SLC Airport Lounge

Delta’s investment in the new Salt Lake City lounge is another example of the airport’s important role as a West Coast hub.

The airline flies to 100 destinations from SLC, including more international destinations.  While Delta’s been flying to Amsterdam and Paris from Salt Lake for a while, you can now book direct flights from SCL to Seoul.  Plus, Delta announced its first daily nonstop to South America from Salt Lake, with service to Lima, Peru.
